The peached tortilla is a mobile food truck which launched in Austin, Texas in late September 2010.
Flavors know no boundaries at the peached tortilla. There are no rules. We start and stop with putting out innovative, great tasting food for the masses. It’s time to join the flavor revolution and unzip your taste buds. Austin, allow yourself to get peached.
founder, Eric Silverstein
The peached tortilla was founded by Eric Silverstein, a former litigator who decided to pursue a different career path and marry his passions of food and business. Eric was born in Tokyo, Japan, where during the early part of his life he was heavily influenced by Japanese, Chinese and Malaysian cuisine. At the age of ten, Eric moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he was introduced to traditional Southern cuisine, or better yet, “soul food.” It is his exposure to such divergent flavors and cuisines at an early age which serves as the backdrop for the peached tortilla. In 2012, Restaurant Hospitality recognized Eric as one of the new “Stars of Street Food.” He is also featured on the Chefsfeed Application for Austin, TX. Eric can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
operating partner, Mark Tamiso
Mark’s culinary roots run deep, having grown up in an Italian kitchen on the East Coast with strong family traditions centered around the celebration of delicious and innovative food. After a long and successful career in the bakery industry, he owned and operated a four-star bed & breakfast in Napa, California.
As a professionally trained chef, food has always been central in Mark’s life. His culinary experiences include cooking mountain lion tenderloins in Colorado, being a guest chef at the exclusive Bohemian Grove in California, and tasting and eating food in almost every state of the United States and twenty countries around the world. “Tasting street food of local cuisines, no matter where in the world they may be, is a reflection of that culture’s spirit,” says Mark. Mark can be reached at email@example.com.
